The Recipe for Some Pretty Mean Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients:
Brussels sprouts, quartered
Bacon, 1 package
Olive oil, around 2 tbps
Onion powder, to taste
Garlic powder, to taste
Chili powder, to taste
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, to taste
Kosher salt, to taste
Fresh ground black pepper, to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Finely chop the bacon, and cook in frying pan until crispy. Remove the cooked bacon from the pan, setting aside. Keep bacon grease.
Add the quartered Brussels sprouts to a large mixing bowl. Pour olive oil, and coat all those beautiful sprouts. Add all of the dry ingredients in whatever ratio you prefer. Add in the chopped bacon. Add the bacon grease.
Using your hands, mix everything together, until all the ingredients know each other pretty well.
Pour out contents of mixing bowl onto a roast pan. Don't grease it, that's what the olive oil was for. Spread the sprouts out evenly on the pan, making sure they're not stacked all over each other.
Cook in oven for around 40 minutes, or until done. The sprouts should be soft, but not mushy, and edges should be crispy.
Change all of your dinner guests' minds regarding how they feel about Brussels sprouts.
